We welcome you to join us for our annual Maple Celebration on Saturday, March 16th at 1pm. This year the festivities will take place in the sugar woods at Honest to Goodness Farm located at 206 Maple Ridge Road, Newark. There will be a gratitude ceremony for the Maples with drumming, story and song. Feel free to bring a song to share and a biodegradable offering to the trees such as herbs, flowers or simply your love.
The celebration will continue with sugar on snow at our pavilion and farm stand where Maple Syrup will be available for purchase.
It is a beautiful ¼ mile walk into the sugar woods from the barn. The roadway will be plowed so snowshoes will not be required but may be helpful depending on snow conditions. Transportation will be available for those who may need assistance making the trek into the forest.
This event is our gift to the community in reciprocity for all that comes to us from our friends, neighbors and Earth however donations are always appreciated. This year we are combining our annual Tree Blessing and Open House into this one event so don’t miss it!
